Tonight, the county commissioners will vote on allowing out of state rescues to help our pit mix dogs, puppies, and moms with puppies; that ALL animals will be judged based on their temperament and not their breed. This is something that will be effecting our community so please everyone read and come out. Right now, pit bull mix breeds, and the ones that resemble pit bulls are being euthanized at the Vance County Animal Shelter. IF this proposal does not pass, these animals will continue to die. We have seen hundreds of sweet, loving animals die based on their appearance and not their temperament. We must take a stand for these animals! Please join us tonight at the County Commissioner meeting in the upstairs meeting room at 6:00pm in the old Courthouse, 122 Young Street, Henderson, NC 27536. WE are their voice and these animals are depending on us.
